Cell Phone Antenna Booster

Cell Phone Antenna Booster

If you're considering purchasing a cell phone antenna booster - one of those that you stick inside your cell phone behind the battery - save your money; don't buy one. I don't care what the advertisements say, those cell phone antenna boosters don't do a bit of good. You're better off spending your money on a good movie or a couple of ice cream sundaes. Take it from me; I worked in a cell phone retail store for over two years, and I've interacted with countless customers

Yes, I know you get tired of choppy conversations or the occasional dropped call; it's so tempting to seek some sort of signal-boosting solution! But hear me now: the solution is not a cheesy cell phone antenna booster. The theory of these little stick-on rip-offs is that the tiny, geometrically-configured line of metal embedded in the sticker is going to somehow boost the reception of your cell phone, thus increasing signal strength, voice clarity, etc.

Look, the only thing it's going to boost is your frustration and the lack of money in your wallet. There is no scientific proof that these cell phone antenna boosters do what their manufacturers say; no scientific proof whatsoever. Buying and installing one is an act of desperation, a plea for help.

I know; I've been there. I, too, have ventured into land of the antenna boosters. Yes, I tried one on my own phone; it was free; I had nothing to lose. Luckily, I came out unscathed, the only damage having been inflicted on my intellectual ego. To think that I would ever dream that a flimsy little sticker could increase the signal strength on my high-tech cell phone! The horror.

But I survived. I lived to tell this story.
