AT&T Mobile Phones

AT&T has now merged with Cingular, and Cingular is phasing out the AT&T name in connection with their mobile phones. So, from now on AT&T mobile phones will be known as Cingular phones.

The merge of Cingular and AT&T Wireless produced the most advanced digital network in the United States and a combined total of 46 million wireless customers. The mobile spectrum covers 49 states and coverage in 97 out of the top 100 markets. What does all this mean for you? It means better coverage and cooler phone features from Cingular.

Cingular sells a variety of mobile phones including phones from Samsung, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Siemens, and Motorola. Here are two mobile phones highlighted on Cingular's website:

• Go Phones: They start at $29.99. The Go phones either cost $.10/minute with a $1 access charge every day that you use your phone or a flat $.25/minute. You also get a reminder call after every use to tell you how much money you have left in your account.
• Moto RAZR: $199.99 mobile phone, ultra-thin with an innovative keypad, Bluetooth wireless, digital camera with zoom and auto timer, and a large 2.5" screen.

Cingular also provides plans nationally and internationally for mobile phones. At this point AT&T mobiles are really hard to come by and won't give you the newest latest features provided by Cingular. If you search for AT&T mobile phone on the Internet, there is almost a guarantee that every site advertising AT&T mobile telephones will bring up a Cingular phone or an AT&T cordless phone.
